Evaluation Question 4
How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
I had to use lots of media technologies to both produce my media products such as magazine cover
and media trailer and too research what to put in my products, i used surveymonkey.com to produce surveys to give to people to get information in what to use.I had to become very proficient with Adobe Premier Pro which i didn't have any experience with before so it was quite hard to learn all the different effects within Adobe Premier Pro to make my final product as professorial as possible, I also had to enhance my knowledge with Photoshop to also make my static products like my magazine posters. I also used Microsoft word to plan my research and planning which was very efficient in doing so, especially because i already knew how to work it very well. I learnt many techniques within Adobe Premier Pro for example putting clips we had recorded on to the time line and the rippling them together, and also how to zoom in and out to cut certain features out of the shot that we did not want for example in one shot we left the fake blood bottle next to the scene and by zooming in we cut that out so we did not have to do the whole shot again. I also learnt how to change the tint of the screen to make it Black and White or Sepia or many other different shades and tints to give it a different affect than just leaving it. Then i learnt how to put title screens to add the final finishing touches towards the ending of my product. I had also learnt how to add different sound tracks on to it.

Evaluation Question 3
What have you learnt from your Audience feedback?
I received both negative and positive responses for my media product, I have learnt that i needed to give the trailer more suspense and it needed a more steady approach towards making the trailer and the sound track wasn't best suited for the Specific horror genre that we chose to do. People said that we used to many similar shots and the montage of clips we used didn't go together as well as they could and the ending was more comic then horrifying which was not the look we was going for, so we learnt from that we could have looked into changing the ending and changing the montage of clips around may have been more effective, and changing the sound track would have been beneficial, by recieiving these comments i feel that i could both produce a better media product and give better feed back towards other groups to help them make a better final product.

Evaluation Question 2
How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
I idolized other horror trailers ancillary texts because i wanted to make it look as real and professional as possible and by using a real one as a template it would make mine look like a real media product as much as possible. Which i believe worked quite well, in both font, layout and specification in text which i feel made it relate-able to the viewer. I made the color red, blood red because it is a color with things to come within the trailer I also went for a very simple Times new Roman font which its simplicity which i think is quite horrific and goes very well for a horror trailer. By trialing many different fonts and colors I found many different combinations of font and color that would have worked but by going for a simple blood red times new roman worked well in my opinion as it was quite a simple trailer.

Evaluation Question 1
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
My Media product stuck to most forms and conventions of a real media product. I made a Horror movie trailer (Slasher Trailer) and the aspects of my trailer and a real trailer are very similar for example... there is only a teenage class which gives a very lawless presence about it. The males are very much the dominant characters and the girls are both very easily lead by the boys, which is the same as in many other horror films around. We did not show visible features of the 'Final Girl' in our trailer to keep the audience wondering who it was, and to maybe keep them more wanting to find out who the final girl is. I kept with quite a generic slasher film with many killings and a lot of gore involved in it, this doesn't challenge the conventions of a real horror film. Throughout the trailer you see that there is a final girl by one of the girls dying which obviously left the audience with a clear final girl who you may not have expected to be the Final girl. The audience can find themselves showing empathy towards a few characters involved in this Trailer whereas in a real Horror trailer you would not get this because it is quite confusing for the audience because it is harder to define which characters are the 'good' ones and which ones are the 'bad' characters, i personally think this develops an original idea of having clear roles within the trailer because it gives the audience something different then what they are bombarded with day in day out. In conclusion i think that my media trailer sticks to most of the forms and conventions of a real Media product in the way of having similar characters within and having a male as both the protagonist and antagonist which is usually the case in horror trailers, by having a final girl also keeps it on track with the forms and conventions of a horror trailer. The ways we don't keep to the forms and conventions is where we don't necessarily have clear roles for characters such as through the most part of the trailer you can not distinguish the final girl where normally it is very clear who to sympathies with.
